Kai Exos gives rare L.A. performance

Published

on

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Kai Exos (pronounced ex-ös) delivered a close and intimate performance at Room 5 near West Hollywood Tuesday night.

Backed by a full band and back-up vocalist, Kai performed tracks from his upcoming debut LP Telegraph. The project features the buzz worthy single “Vigilante” and is slated for release June 10.

With a background in classical piano and the Baptist church, one could describe Kai’s music as an interesting blend of everything from Motown-era soul to 1970’s lo-fi rock. Before his album hits shelves, he’s already hit Tokyo to London on the promotional run for the project.

Sounding more like David Bowie for the Bruno Mars generation, alternative music heads should have plenty to love about this artist.

Check out “Vigilante” below.

“FREE” ALWAYS COMES WITH “BULLS%!*”

Its been a while since we got a project from the Los Angeles-based Singer/Songwriter, Phabo. But tonight, he ends that hiatus with a brand new EP titled, “FREE” ALWAYS COMES WITH “BULLS%!*”. The 6 track effort is something to hold fans over while Phabo‘s upcoming album, “How’s My Driving?“, nears completion. My favorite tracks are, “West Hills“, “My Ex” and “Make It Big“.

Overall, “FREE” ALWAYS COMES WITH “BULLS%!*”, is definitely worth taking a listen to. Especially if you haven’t yet heard of Phabo.
