Rashad – The Quiet Loud (Album Stream)

Columbus, Ohio renaissance man Rashad is probably best known for being the architect of Stalley’s Intelligent Trunk Music sound. While he’s produced some of his best work with the aforementioned fellow Ohio native, he’s proven that he is an artist to be reckoned with on his own. Blending a classic hip-hop sensibility with smooth vocals and heartfelt songwriting, Rashad’s approach feels refreshingly novel in a music climate awash with one imitator after another.

His latest project, entitled The Quiet Loud, is a pure, concentrated, sample of Rashad’s soul. As the only singer, producer, writer, arranger and engineer on the project, Rashad lets the listener into a world devoid of outside influences, besides his hometown of Columbus, and the lives, loves, and loss that entered his orbit. Its been a while since we got a project from the Los Angeles-based Singer/Songwriter, Phabo. But tonight, he ends that hiatus with a brand new EP titled, “FREE” ALWAYS COMES WITH “BULLS%!*”. The 6 track effort is something to hold fans over while Phabo‘s upcoming album, “How’s My Driving?“, nears completion. My favorite tracks are, “West Hills“, “My Ex” and “Make It Big“.

Overall, “FREE” ALWAYS COMES WITH “BULLS%!*”, is definitely worth taking a listen to. Especially if you haven’t yet heard of Phabo.
