Following Lil Wayne's legal battle against Birdman, the rapper and his team reached a settlements to release Wayne from under Cash Money Records. At the center of the dispute has been New Orleans native's album Tha Carter V, the release of which had been stalled since he finished recording it back in 2014.
At his recent club appearance in Miami, Wayne gave an update about the project's upcoming release, “Just to let y’all know I had a meeting today, it wasn’t a long meeting. Just so y’all know the meeting was about the release date of Tha Carter-fucking-V.”
Tha Carter V is expected to be released through Universal Records and could drop before the end of the year.
