Kayos KeyiD Pronounced Chaos Key-eye-D, the Kayos stands for Kene Agwunobi (Birth name) Young old Soul, and KeyiD represents his victory in finding his true self which consists of many Marvelous attributes including belonging to the original branch of the Biblical tribe of Judah confirmed by many respected researchers & historians after careful, intense study of the Igbo tribe of west Africa.

Kayos is an International Hip-Hop Artist, Writer and Director born in present day Lagos by way of Houston and New York, After leaving Texas Southern University’s Pharmacy program to pursue his Passion. He worked various odd jobs to survive, then transitioned from selling tickets at Time Square to selling his music and attending popular open mics in Brooklyn and Manhattan. His style is bold and unorthodox. Lyrically gifted with fluidity and adapts to various musical situations including the current state of Rap for which he developed another part-time style he refers to as “Thrill with the Boom Bap”.

He said “While recording the Key Identity album in 2009, I had an epiphany after finding my identity and I decided to add Key-iD to my name as a reminder of my new found internal peace which will grow infinitely as I continue to find new qualities in myself to explore for the sake of benefiting humanity and inspiring generations”.

He credits writing songs/lyrics and listening to much music for getting him through a lot of hard times he experienced as a kid. After getting expelled from high school, being jailed and even narrowly escaping death several times on the streets, his thoughts settled and the love for Hip-Hop took precedence over many old habits. He details how in 2008, he rocked the house at Houston’s Jet Lounge with KRS One, later backstage the master Mc said these exact words to him “You melted the steel”. Kayos still considers this a highlight in his list of personal epic moments in Hip-Hop; including meeting Jay-z’s famous Engineer/Producer Guru in Manhattan in 2012 and after spitting him a verse, said he liked it and exchanged contacts with the Mc and just few days later he would ran into Jay-z backstage at S.O.B. In recent studio session with Bun B of UGK as they collaborated on a remix for the single “Super Almighty Flow”, Bun turned to the camera and cosigned the Houston representative with a compliment saying “Lyricism is back”, that quickly went viral online as fans anticipated KeyiD’s next move. After his recent success with help from another H-town legend Lil Keke onthe remix for the hit single “Everyday is Payday” produced by Grammy nominated Platinum producer Chris Flame. Kayos Keyid has confirmed that he will release two new Albums: Golden Age Again & Poet of Parables, both scheduled for 2015, dates are yet to be announced but the fans are still showing huge excitement plus plenty support both online & the Street.
