With Big Sean's February 24th release, Dark Sky Paradise, he has a lot to prove in the eyes of many fans. Most of all, those who felt that his second offering, “Hall of Fame,” failed to meet expectations compared to his highly-coveted mixtape, “Detroit“.
Track by track Big Sean goes in with his unique way of delivering punchline after punchline. However, when listening to this album I constantly questioned, where was the darkness and aggression Sean spoke of in interviews prior to this release? Finally Famous was what fans expected from Big Sean as a debut album, Detroit (a mixtape) was everything fans expected and led many to naturally fiend for Hall Of Fame: Memoirs Of A Detroit Player (the title that was later changed to what was released as, Hall Of Fame), Hall of Fame was…soft, to say the least when comparing it to his mixtape Detroit. However, was a solid album overall with a mixture of the classic emotional tracks, the Detroit player tracks, bangers like, “10 2 10” and “Mona Lisa” and the hilarious track, “Milf,” featuring Nicki Minaj & Juicy J.
Dark Sky Paradise could've simply been named, Hall of Fame: Insert Subtitle Here. It really is a figurative reflection of Hall of Fame.

- Production. I can’t say I was disappointed with any of the production. Not amazing, but decent.
