Alvin ‘Xzibit’ Joiner Screens His Directorial Debut ‘Broken Ground’ At The 2019 Pan African Film Festival

Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, better known by the stage name Xzibit, premiered his directorial debut Broken Ground during the 27th Annual Pan African Film Festival (PAFF). Real 92.3’s Big Boy hosted a Q&A immediately after the screening. Other guests included DJ Battlecat and Comedian Alex Thomas.

The digital music series starring James Savage (Jayo Felony) follows the once prominent west coast rapper upon his release from prison as he seeks answers from the man who put him behind bars, ultimately sabotaging his career and ruining his life. The cast also features rapper Sticky FingazAnthony Michael HallSlink Johnson, and Anna Hutchison. 

Broken Ground was produced under Xzibit’s Open Bar Entertainment.

PAFF – Americas largest International Black Film Festival, screened over 190 films at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza from February 7th to February 18.
