In a new interview with Big Boy, Teyana Taylor has revealed that an updated version of K.T.S.E. is dropping next week. The singer is making improvements, after Kanye’s decisions and uncleared samples resulted in the album being different to how she expected. “There are different levels of R&B on this album and then once y’all hear THE album, like next week, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about because it’s way more completed, it’s just crazy,” she said.
Teyana also explained why she didn’t just push back the release date to begin with. “I think it was more of a misunderstanding,” she said. “Because Kanye knows how much I’ve been through — the whole squad knows how much I’ve been through. So I think it was more so them making an executive decision of like damn, ‘she’s been waiting for this moment, let’s do whatever it is that’s gonna make her happy,’ not realizing that I probably would have waited that week.”
