After two years, former Sacramento Kings coach, George Karl, finally got his wishes. According to multiple reports and sources around the league, the Kings have officially traded away their franchise and superstar player, DeMarcus Cousins, to the New Orleans Pelicans.
He’ll now reunite with fellow Kentucky Wildcats legend, Anthony Davis, as the pair become an immediate summer free agency attraction. The 26-year-old is one year away from becoming an unrestricted free agent during the summer of 2018, as he’ll be looking to sign a super-max contract – upwards of $200 million. While Boogie has previously stated that he wanted to remain with the Kings and ink an extension, Sacramento was reluctant to fully invest in the star big man.
