Richard Sherman Signs Extension With Seattle Seahawks (Video)
After the Seattle Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers in their trip to last February’s Super Bowl, Richard Sherman made it clear he was the number one corner-back in the league. Over the last 3 seasons, he’s led the NFL with the most receptions totaling at 20; being 5 more than any other corner-back with Tim Jennings behind at 15, to back his recent claims.
Before OTA off-season workouts begin in two weeks, the organization wanted no distractions heading into camp signing their former 5th-round draft pick to a hefty four-year, $57.4 million contract extension; $40 million guaranteed. Since his entry into the league, the 26-year old player from Stanford U has also added 60 pass deflections to his previously mentioned 20 interceptions, and finally surprises recently signed New England Patriot Darrell Revis for number one earnings.
