Universal Pictures released the first trailer for its new drama Queen & Slim, a love story-turned nightmare, during the 2019 BET Awards on Sunday.
Penned by Lena Waithe (The Chi), the story follows a couple – Slim (Daniel Kaluuya) and Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith), whose first date takes an unexpected turn when a police officer pulls them over.
Bokeem Woodbine, Chloë Sevigny, and Sturgill Simpson are all in the cast with Melina Matsoukas directing.
Queen & Slim hits theaters Nov. 27. Check out the trailer below.
