The nearly 40-minute conversation centered on their rise-and-fall in the Los Angeles Lakers – including what led to their original falling out. While the two have patched things up in recent years, the emotional conversation even revealed a rare story of the Mamba purchasing a house in Chicago during the summer of 2004 to sign with the Bulls.
However, with Shaq getting traded to South Beach, that derailed any plans of him leaving the purple and gold. Prior to those events, Shaq even admitted to takin summers off, because he felt Kobe could carry them in the regular season, as the two laughed at that reflection also.
