Ladies and gentlemen, Kanye has done it again.
After years of his outrageous antics, including announcing to the world that “George Bush doesn't care about black people,” or stealing Taylor Swift's moment of triumph, Kanye West decided to blow a major fuse Saturday night at a concert in Sacramento, California–just days after his spiel of support for Donald Trump.
After performing only three songs, West cut the music began a rant that included calling out Beyoncé, damning the politics of the VMA's, and letting Jay Z know that he's aware of his “killers.”
“This is a moment in the Matrix, bro!”
West began shouting to the audience.
“Beyoncé, I was hurt 'cause I heard that you said you wouldn't perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over 'Hotline Bling.' In my opinion– now, don't go tryin' to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people, we are all equal. But sometimes, we be playin' the politics too much and forgettin' who we are just to win. Fuck winning! Fuck lookin' cool!”
screamed West into his microphone.
The rant continued onto West’s (apparently) former best friend, Jay Z.
“I've been sent here to give y'all my truth– even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I've been sent here to give y'all the truth. Jay Z, call me, bruh! You still ain't call me! Jay Z, call me! Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Just call me! Talk to me like a man!”
West ended his speech by calling out the press telling them to “get ready to have a field day, because the show's over!” and ran off stage. Shocked and angry fans began to shout “Fuck you, Kanye!” as the stadium lights turned on.
By Sunday morning, the hashtag #KanyeIsOverParty began to trend nationally on Twitter, with people posting about their exhaustion of West's antics and excitement of watching him disappear. West has not commented on the incident since, but fans were able to remedy the situation with Tickemaster refunds.
Whatever's going on with Kanye is uncertain, but he better shape up soon otherwise his rants will only be heard by empty seats…and maybe Kim.
