Last spring marked the final appearance of Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine, as he passed the torch to his daughter X-23 in Logan. However, Disney’s recent acquisition of 20th Century Fox has Jackman conflicted with exiting comic films for good. In previous years, Hugh had stated that he always dreamed of making a cross-over appearance in the Avengers series and officially has the chance to.
This weekend, Sebastian Stan, revealed that Jackman is re-thinking his retirement. After 17 years of elite training and filming, we’re not sure Hugh’s body can continue this damage.
Stan said, “Recently I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn’t know what another awkward thing I could talk about but to be like, ‘Am I going to see you soon?’ I don’t know. But he said a couple of things to me and I’ll just leave it at that. I feel like I’m going to get into trouble.
I asked him because I kept thinking he said whether or not that was, Logan, was supposed to be the last Wolverine thing or whatever and he said to me, well I think he publicly said out there, which was like he’s been thinking about it and it’s been on his mind. So, I don’t, he may be.”
