Iconic fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead Tuesday morning, TMZ reported.
The police confirmed that she was found around 10AM ET by her housekeeper. It appears that Spade had hanged herself. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Kate Spade handbag brand launched in 1993 and expanded into a full-scale clothing and jewelry line.
The designer sold her company in 2007. In 2016 she came back into the fashion scene and launched a new fashion brand – Frances Valentine – named after her 13 year old daughter.
