After years of ridicule and hatred on nearly every album he’s released before The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem issues a public apology and formally buries the hatchet with his mother. With Spike Lee behind-the-lens, Em heads back home to 8 Mile to offer up an official music visual to his 5th single from the album, “Headlights” with singer-songwriter Nate Ruess. The video takes on a brief trip through the life of Marshall’s low-income setting from his child youth and being limited to only basic necessities. While reflecting on past incidents including multiple repossessions, he caps the video with issuing an apology letter to his mom.
Directed by Spike Lee.
