As if the Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t have enough internal turmoil, the team has suffered yet another setback. Kevin Love fractured his left hand in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons. It happened in the first quarter after making contact with Andre Drummond under the basket.
He clearly bent over in pain while holding his hand immediately after.
He received x-rays at the arena, revealing a non-displaced fracture in the left hand fifth metacarpal. An official diagnosis will be determined after more tests and examinations are done by doctors in Cleveland.
This is the same hand he had surgery on back in 2009.
How the Cavs hold up during his absence and how he comes back in time for the playoffs are two questions that will be monitored closely throughout the league.
