Artists To Keep An Eye On
Being a contributor for various blogs is never easy, especially when artists flood your inbox all day. But, there are artists who make all the long nights and constant phone notifications worth it. I put together the “Artists To Keep An Eye On” playlist because I see potential and greatness in all these artists.
With artists nowadays being able to create a profile on any social media platform, it becomes difficult to find artist who are serious about music and are actually passionate about it. To weed out the “Artist” from the “Want To Be Artists’, I went on twitter and tweeted out my email address along with allowing anyone to message me links to their music, because I wanted to curate a playlist filled with talented artist who have the potential to take over the new year.
I received a total of 80 mentions, 30 retweets, and 20 likes. I was actually surprised by the response, it actually shook me up a bit to be honest. Also, it also made me happy to see that there are still artists out there that are hungry for progress and who takes risks, that’s how it’s suppose to be.
After finalizing the list, I created a group chat to bring all the artists together so that they could meet each other and network with one another. I want them build with one another, so that we can set a trend or do something new for the new year that is approaching.
There are a lot of things I can say about these artists, but I’ll keep it short and simple. I handpicked these artists, because they came to me in the most professional manner and presented themselves very well. I hear the passion, drive, and dedication in their music, and that’s how it should be.
Putting this playlist together was definitely not an easy process, but it was worth because of all the awesome content that it includes. Each artist has their own style, and delivers their message in a different way.
