ABC’s ‘Black-Ish’ Renewed for Season 6; Spinoff ‘Mixed-Ish’ Ordered
ABC has officially renewed the Emmy nominated series Black-ish for season six and greenlit its prequel spinoff Mixed-ish.
Per Hollywood Reporter, set in the 1980s, Mixed-ish revolves around a young version of Tracee Ellis Ross' character Rainbow Johnson (played by Arica Himmell) as she recounts her experience growing up in a mixed-race family and the dilemmas they faced over whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves when her parents move from a hippie commune to the suburbs.
